Support the communication of an European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme

Since January 2014, Arctik is responsible for the communication strategy and design for EMAS the European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) for the European Commission’s DG Environment. In addition, Arctik also supports the communication activities for the EMAS helpdesk. In this work, Arctik collaborates with with 21 Solutions and ADELPHI

EMAS supports:

• The implementation of sustainable policies and voluntary approaches for industry; and,


• The development and promotion of environmental requirements into industry and the European internal market.

Currently, more than 4,500 organisations use EMAS as an instrument to voluntarily improve their environmental performance.

“It is encouraging to see that our communication efforts have reach out to a great number of organisations in such a short time”, says Cedric Hananel, Director of Arctik.

Arctik committed itself to increase the visibility of EMAS and has put efforts into targeting specific audiences. According to the numbers of users, it seems like we have succeeded, Mr Hananel adds.

In terms of design, Arctik creates the communication products used by the EMAS helpdesk to engage stakeholders on EMAS. Thus far the products include: a banner, roll-up, poster among other productions.
