2015 - International year of Light and Light-based Technologies

2015 is the International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies.
Light and its technologies play an important part in our everyday lives wherever we are on our fragile planet. That is why 2015 is proclaimed to be the year of light and light-based technologies by the United Nations. As well expressed by UNESCO, light sciences promote sustainable development and provide solutions to global challenges in energy, education, agriculture and health. We often forget the capacity and the formidable process made in the past century by light-based technologies that surround us.
Light has revolutionised medicine, opened up international communication via the Internet, and continues be central to linking cultural, economic and political aspects of the global society. Lights application continues to be a cross-cutting discipline of science also in the 21st century.
In 2015, Arctik wishes you a glowing year, a year during which you might want to think about shedding some light on your own activities. Arctik can help you do just that.
Take a tour on our portfolio and discover how we contribute to encourage sustainable practices and ‘green’ communications, with creativity and dedication!
