A platform for FAIR data and Open Science<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Stated simply, EOSC provides a portal for researchers to store, share and access data, making it easier than ever to collaborate and discover new insights. This means that researchers from all over Europe, in any domain, can access a wealth of data that they would otherwise have difficulty accessing, speeding up the pace of discovery. But EOSC isn’t just about data storage. The platform also offers a range of services that make data analysis, computation and visualisation easier and more accessible. This makes it a great tool for interdisciplinary research, where scientists from different fields can work together on complex problems \u2013 from COVID-19 to deforestation, air pollution, climate adaptation and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An open, virtual community<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

But perhaps the most exciting thing about EOSC is that it’s not just for researchers. It’s also open to citizens, SMEs and other stakeholders, meaning that the benefits of this platform will be felt by society as a whole. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key exploitable results<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The European Open Science Cloud is being developed by the EU-funded Horizon project EOSC Future. Throughout the project, we have seen the evolution of technical features and results linked to the EOSC platform (e.g. the EOSC Portal Catalogue & Marketplace, the EOSC Observatory, the EOSC Interoperability Framework). Many more developments are anticipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EOSC is a powerful tool for collaboration, discovery and innovation. We’re looking forward to seeing the impact it will have in the years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
