Adrian Forsström Norén joined ARCTIK as a Communication Intern in March 2026. His experience combines drafting, stakeholder-oriented communication, research support, and coordination in international and EU-facing environments.

Prior to joining Arctik, Adrian worked as a Project Assistant at the think tank Beyond the Horizon, where he supported the implementation of Horizon Europe and CERV projects. His work included project coordination support, proposal development, stakeholder engagement, dissemination activities, and contributions to analytical and project-based outputs on digital democracy, FIMI, climate disinformation, industrial policy, EU-China relations, and emerging technologies in the defence sector.

Adrian obtained an MSc in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam and a BSc in Political Science from Stockholm University. He is a native Swedish speaker and fluent in English, with additional knowledge of Spanish, Italian, and Dutch.

Cédric Hananel est le directeur d’Arctik, l’agence de communication du groupe Technopolis.

Depuis 2011, il met en avant des stratégies de communication efficaces et centrées sur l’excellence opérationnelle. Expert en communication institutionnelle et environnementale, Cédric s’engage à développer des solutions pour un engagement positif des parties prenantes et des activités axées sur l’impact et la créativité.

Cédric est titulaire d’un Master en sociologie de l’université de Louvain (Belgique) et d’un Master en développement durable de l’université Brandeis, à Boston (Etats-Unis). De 2014 à 2016, il a été coordinateur/enseignant en communication environnementale à l’IHECS Academy (Belgique). Il est co-auteur du livre L’économie circulaire en Région de Bruxelles-Capitale, publié en 2020.

Rita Borgnolo specialises in campaign and people management, particularly within the European public sector. She has worked on projects involving audiovisual and communication campaigns, large-scale high-level events, and digital initiatives.

Before joining Arctik, Rita gained extensive experience managing multimillion-euro communication campaigns at ICF Next, where she oversaw the delivery and quality management of the entire project management team. Prior to this, she was part of the ProPager group, focusing on event organization.

Rita holds an MA in International Relations and Conflict Studies from Kent University. She is fluent in English and French, and is a native Italian speaker.

Agnieszka Pietruczuk joined Arctik as a Communications Consultant in September 2023. She has over 10 years of experience in European affairs, science advice for policy and science communications. Her expertise lies in strategic communications and project management.

Before joining Arctik, Agnieszka has worked as a Communications Manager for SAPEA/Scientific Advice Mechanism to the European Commission. She has also experience with numerous international non-profit organisations and Horizon2020 projects.

Agnieszka holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and a Degree in Journalism and Communications. She speaks Polish, English and French.

Chloé a rejoint Arctik en septembre 2018 en tant que consultante en communication. Elle est notamment impliquée dans les projets BeCircular, PSF et EREK.

Auparavant, elle a travaillé pendant un an en tant qu’assistante en communication chez Fluxys. Elle a participé à des projets de communication interne et externe. Cela lui a permis d’acquérir une expertise dans l’organisation d’événements et la coordination de projets. Elle a également été stagiaire au Vif l’Express et à l’Institut européen de recherche sur la coopération méditerranéenne et euro-arabe (MEDEA).

Chloé est titulaire d’un Master en politique du Moyen-Orient de la School of Oriental and African Studies, à l’université de Londres (Royaume-Uni). Elle parle couramment français et a une bonne maîtrise de l’anglais.

Christophe possède une solide expérience professionnelle dans les domaines de la politique européenne, la communication et la gestion des connaissances.

De 2010 à 2016, il était chargé de coordonner l’équipe de communication externe du programme LIFE de l’UE. Auparavant, il a été responsable de la communication au sein du cabinet Publicis consultants basé à Bruxelles, Brand Manager chez Belgacom (télécom), et a passé 4 ans en tant que consultant pour la DG Communication de la Commission européenne, et deux ans à l’ambassade de France à Bruxelles, en tant que correspondant européen.

Christophe est titulaire d’un Master en linguistique, marketing et communication, ainsi que d’une Licence en commerce et droit. Il parle français, anglais et espagnol.

Marie est journaliste multimédia et spécialiste en communication stratégique, engagée dans la traduction de projets européens complexes en récits accessibles. Forte de son expertise en communication institutionnelle européenne et en storytelling, elle conçoit et met en œuvre des stratégies de communication permettant de toucher des publics larges et diversifiés. Elle excelle dans la création de contenus, depuis la conception jusqu’à la livraison, afin de renforcer la visibilité et la réussite des projets.

Chez Arctik, Marie gère actuellement la communication de plusieurs initiatives financées par l’UE, dont l’Ecolabel européen. Son parcours comprend la direction de projets de communication pour le Parlement européen et les Nations Unies. Elle a dirigé des productions vidéo diffusées devant des publics de haut niveau lors des célébrations dans l’Hémicycle du Parlement européen à Strasbourg et Bruxelles.

Grâce à son expérience en journalisme international, Marie dispose d’une compréhension approfondie des processus de production de contenus, des cycles d’actualité et du management d’équipes pluridisciplinaires. Elle excelle dans la conception de formats innovants et l’apport d’une vision éditoriale, couvrant aussi bien la rédaction de scripts vidéo engageants que la création de contenus pour les réseaux sociaux.

Marie est titulaire d’un master en communication de crise et journalisme de conflit, d’un master en journalisme européen et international, ainsi que d’un bachelier en communication appliquée. Elle est francophone native, maîtrise l’anglais, dispose de connaissances professionnelles en néerlandais et de notions de grec.

Nuala has been working at the interface of communication and European policy for 15 years with a focus on regional and urban issues.

She spent 5 years heading up the URBACT programme’s knowledge and communication activities. She has overseen many knowledge sharing projects on gender equality, housing, urban renewal, digital transition and sustainable urban development. She led URBACT’s contribution to major policy documents such as the Leipzig Charter for Sustainable Urban Development (led by the German Presidency of EU in 2018) and the Urban Agenda for the EU. She has edited several publications, including the Gender Equal Cities report, policy papers on integrated urban development and URBACT results publication. 

As a communication professional, Nuala has developed numerous communication strategies for European programmes (URBACT, Interreg Europe, Interreg IVC), and has overseen delivery of all aspects of the communication mix (website development, events delivery, video editing etc). 

Nuala holds a double BA (Hons) in Business and Politics with French from Trinity College Dublin (IE). She is fluent in English (mother tongue) and French. 

Juliette joined Arctik as a Communication Consultant in January 2025 as part of the Belgian market team.

Before joining Arctik, Juliette gained experience in communication across a variety of sectors: tourism, healthcare, architecture, and urban planning and policy. Her work in public institutions allowed her to develop expertise in public interest projects and acquire a strong understanding of the Belgian institutional and cultural landscape.

Juliette also oversaw communication for urban policy during Belgium’s presidency of the European Union in 2024.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Master’s degree in Communication with a focus on socio-cultural animation and lifelong education from IHECS in Brussels.

She is fluent in French, English, and Italian and has a good understanding of Dutch and German.

Hannah gère des projets de communication dédiés aux affaires publiques européennes et au développement durable.

Ayant travaillé dans plusieurs pays, Hannah a un profil international. Avant de rejoindre Arctik, elle a travaillé pendant 4 ans comme chef de projet chez ICF Next, où elle s’est concentrée sur la réalisation de campagnes intégrées. Elle a également travaillé au Vietnam.

Hannah est titulaire d’un Master en créativité et marketing de la Solvay Brussels School – Economics & Management (Belgique), et d’un BA en design graphique de l’Université de Bournemouth (Royaume-Uni). Elle parle couramment norvégien et anglais.

Ester Marklund joined ARCTIK as a communications intern in September 2025.  

Ester holds a bachelor’s degree in media and communication science with a specialization on global communication from Jönköping University.  

Her professional experience includes journalistic work at the Swedish public service radio. There, she focused on research and live reporting, developing skills in making complex topics available and understandable for diverse audiences. She also gained professional experience from UNICEF where she worked with telemarketing, creating sales scripts and managing calls to both businesses and private donors.   

Ester is fluent in English and Swedish (her native language).

Natalia Cediel Contreras specialises in multilingual communication for organisations and EU projects, focusing on sustainability, digital transformation, and international cooperation. She has designed, executed and monitored communication strategies for R&I and Open Call projects, using agile methodologies. 

Before joining Arctik, Natalia gained experience with startups, NGOs, and marketing agencies, contributing to EU-funded projects under programmes such as COSME, LIFE, Horizon Europe, Global Europe and Digital Europe. She also produced digital content and coordinated events on topics like the circular economy, AI, and open innovation. Additionally, she completed a traineeship at the European Commission’s Spokesperson’s Service for foreign affairs, assisting with media relations and press materials. 

Natalia holds a diploma in French Studies from the University of Murcia and two Master’s degrees, in Multilingual Communication with International Relations at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Green Economy at the University of Lleida and Next International Business School.  

She is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, with knowledge of German, Russian, and Dutch. 

Dea Sinani is a seasoned event manager with over four years of experience designing and delivering high-impact physical, hybrid, and virtual events for institutional clients, including the European Commission. Currently working at Arctik, Communication for Sustainability in Brussels, she leads strategic event planning and stakeholder coordination for EU-funded projects, ensuring alignment with environmental sustainability and inclusivity standards. 

Previously at MCI Benelux, Dea managed end-to-end logistics, budgeting, and team coordination for diverse international events. Her expertise spans venue scouting, supplier negotiation, digital tools integration, and post-event evaluation. With a Master’s degree in Communication from IHECS and fluency in French, English, and Albanian, she combines creativity, precision, and empathy to craft memorable experiences that resonate with audiences and meet institutional goals. 

Ana Inés joined ARCTIK as a Communications Intern in March 2026 as part of the Belgian market team.

Ana Inés obtained her bachelor degree in English and Literature from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where she later also graduated with a Masters degree in Communication. Prior to joining ARCTIK, Ana Inés has worked as an intern at a consultancy with three decades of European expertise in EU affairs with a focus on energy, environment and mobility, where she provided support in the communications and the organization of different events. She aims to build more experience in communications linked to the environment, sustainability and the energy sector.

Ana Inés is fluent in English, a native speaker of both French and Spanish, and has some very basic knowledge of Dutch. 

Marianne a rejoint Arctik en septembre 2021, en tant que responsable RH et responsable des opérations et des finances.

Elle a un parcours très diversifié puisqu’elle a travaillé dans le secteur bancaire pendant 10 ans (dont 3 passées à la City de Londres), 12 ans dans une société d’import-export en tant que Finance & RH Manager, puis 4 ans au sein de l’équipe directionnelle d’une des plus grandes entreprises de construction belges, en tant que Directrice RH et de la communication.

Elle a étudié l’administration des affaires à l’Université de Liège (Belgique), puis a obtenu un MBA à Chicago.

Elle parle français et anglais, et a une bonne connaissance du néerlandais.

Gloria joined the ARCTIK team in September 2024 as a communications intern. 

She holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Groningen, Northern Netherlands, where she lived for two years. There she developed a passion for cheese, stroopwafels and embraced an eco-friendly cycling habit. In her thesis, she researched solutions journalism to test out innovative pathways for a more optimistic coverage of environmental topics across news outlets.

Previously, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Communications at the University of Padua, where her thesis topic centred around socially-engaged, purpose-driven corporate communications, with a strong focus on telling brand activism apart from greenwashing and other marketing ploys.

She is fluent in English, Italian and has a good conversational command of French.

Her Dutch is a work in progress, as her thrifted flannel collection.

Emma Cabascia joined Arctik in March 2025 as a Science Communication Intern. She holds a Master of Science in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po Paris, where she specialised in environmental communication and project management.

Previously, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies at the University of Trento, with a thesis on the existing legal framework governing climate-induced migration and displacement.

Emma has lived, studied, and worked in five different countries: Italy – where she is originally from – Canada, Netherlands, France, and Belgium.

Before joining Arctik, she worked at Greenpeace Italy in Rome as a Press Officer and Digital Communication Intern. Additionally, she is a freelance journalist, publishing articles on climate change and EU climate policy for Italian newspapers and magazines.

She is willing to pursue a career in the field of climate change communication, aiming to raise awareness about environmental issues through an intersectional and solutions-oriented approach. She defines herself as empathetic, self-aware, and curious.

She is fluent in English, native in Italian, and has a good command of French.

Alexandra a rejoint Arctik en septembre 2021, en tant que consultante en communication.

Elle a acquis de l’expérience en tant que rédactrice, copywriter et créatrice de contenus pour des campagnes et initiatives publiques liées notamment à la politique de l’UE, la migration, la résilience climatique et la coopération internationale. Elle sait donc traiter – et traduire – des politiques complexes de manière précise, concise et accessible.

Alexandra est titulaire d’une Licence en sciences politiques de l’université Brandeis (États-Unis), d’un Master en philosophie et politique publique de la LSE (Royaume-Uni), et d’un Master de recherche de la KU Leuven (Belgique).

Elle parle couramment anglais et français, sait tenir une conversation en italien, et reste optimiste quant à son apprentissage du néerlandais.

Maya Makoudi a rejoint Arctik en Septembre 2025, en tant que stagiaire en communication. Durant cinq ans, elle a étudié la communication à l’Université Catholique de Louvain. Elle a récemment obtenu son master en communication stratégique. 

Précédemment, elle a eu sa première expérience professionnelle en tant que stagiaire au sein d’une agence de relations de presse. Aujourd’hui, elle cherche à expérimenter un travail qui a du sens avec ses valeurs. Étant très empathique, elle est convaincue que la communication peut avoir un réel impact positif sur la société.

Flora a rejoint Arctik en septembre 2022 et travaille actuellement pour des projets belges (Bruxelles Environnement, Service public de la Wallonie), ayant une dominance en matière de communication numérique et de stratégie de diffusion.

Après avoir commencé sa carrière en tant que consultante junior dans un cabinet de conseil européen spécialisé dans les politiques environnementales, Flora a été coordinatrice de campagnes pour différentes ONG belges (la Croix-Rouge Belge notamment). Elle a également été assistante parlementaire, puis chargée de projets pour l’ONG ECOS. Flora est titulaire d’un master en gestion environnementale de l’université Sheffield Hallam (Royaume-Uni), et d’un master en affaires européennes de l’ISMAPP, ainsi que d’une licence en sciences économiques et sociales de l’Institut catholique de Paris (France). De langue maternelle française, elle parle couramment anglais.

Ilya Pijpen joined ARCTIK as an environmental communications intern at the end of February 2024.

He holds a BSc and MSc in Biology, focusing on Ecology and Biodiversity, from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium). For his thesis he studied social-ecological resilience assessment tools and their application in support of development projects in Burundi.

He is fluent in Dutch and English and has a good command of French.

Kay joined Arctik in February 2024 as an Administrative assistant.

Her previous experience is very diversified as she has mainly been working as a freelance and interim consultant in the administrative field. She started her professional career in the aviation industry, as a Passenger Service Agent at Brussels Airport. Hereafter, she joined the SESAR Deployment Manager project (Single European Sky), funded by the European Union, as an Assistant and launched her journey in administration.

She studied Political Science at the University of Bucharest (Romania).

She is fluent in Dutch, French and English and has a good knowledge of Spanish and Romanian.

Allende joined ARCTIK as a communication analyst in September 2023.

Before joining the team, she graduated in Journalism with a specialisation in Communication Direction, and she holds a Master of Arts in Digital Marketing.

During her studies, she was an intern in the leading media group of the Basque Country and in a market research start-up. After that, she served as a communication officer for different town halls and public institutions in her area, developing her writing, social media and audiovisual skills from a local and regional perspective.

Captivated by a more international background, she moved to Brussels in January 2023 to work in an NGO expertised in international cooperation, where she got immersed in European youth projects and cooperation projects of Latin America.

She is a Spanish and Basque native speaker, and fluent in English. She has a good knowledge of French and basic level of Dutch.

 Ayant vécu dans plusieurs pays, Anna a un profil international. Avant de rejoindre Arctik en mai 2022, elle a acquis de l’expérience dans la recherche qualitative, le développement commercial et l’industrie de la vente, à Londres et à Bruxelles. Elle a été stagiaire en développement commercial chez Stantec-Belgique, et pendant ses études, elle a également collaboré à des projets de recherche avec l’International Water Management Institute (IWMI) de Pretoria et l’IOI, une ONG des îles Galapagos.

Anna est titulaire d’un Master en changement environnemental et développement international de l’université de Sheffield (Royaume-Uni), qui lui a permis d’acquérir une connaissance approfondie des complexités du développement économique mondial et de la manière dont les interactions société-environnement influencent la politique et la pratique du développement durable. Elle est également titulaire d’une Licence en politique et relations internationales, cursus qui lui a permis de s’intéresser au rôle de l’agroécologie dans les systèmes alimentaires durables.

De langue maternelle italienne, Anna parle couramment anglais et espagnol.

Dan Botbol is a Belgian cameraman based in Brussels. He joined Arctik as a freelancer in 2022, where he is involved in various projects for clients such as the European Commission, Bruxelles Environnement, Horizon Europe, etc. Dan currently works as a film director in the advertising industry. He has produced more than 200 video clips and has written advertising concepts and fictions for clients such as BNP Paris Bas Fortis, SANOFI, Medtech Europe, Kellogg’s, Astra Zeneca, EU Ecolabel, etc.

For more than sixteen years, Dan has produced various documentaries and directed well-known television programs such as RTBF’s “Matière Grise.” He wrote and directed “Les Enfants du Jardin,” which has been a public success on television with over 420,000 viewers. As a director, he has written a total of 200 films, and as a cameraman, he has produced more than 400 videos. Additionally, Dan Botbol is a photographer and writer. His book “Petit condense Culturel” was published by “La boite á Pandor” in francophone countries such as France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada. Dan obtained a diploma from the Institut des Arts de Diffusion (IAD) in Belgium. He is fluent in English and French (his mother tongue) and conversational in Dutch.

Francesca Lazzarini joined Arctik as a communication analyst in January 2023.

Before joining Arctik, she worked as Team Assistant and Social Media Manager for an international company based in Italy. After an internship at the United Nations office in Geneva, Francesca was able to deepen and develop advanced communication skills in dynamic and multicultural contexts. Given her interest in environmental sustainability, she took part in a volunteer project funded by the European Commission to raise awareness (through the organisation of workshops and events) on environmental issues.

Francesca holds a MA in International Sciences from University of Turin (Italy). She also studied International Relations and EU Law at Sciences Po Lyon (France).

She is a native Italian speaker and fluent in English and French.

Alicia a intégré l’équipe d’Arctik en septembre 2023, occupant le poste d’Analyste en Communication. Elle se consacre principalement aux projets liés au marché belge, tout en apportant sporadiquement son expertise aux équipes européennes.

Avant de se lancer dans l’aventure Arctik, Alicia a effectué un Master en Relations Publiques ainsi qu’une spécialisation en Affaires et Études Européennes à l’IHECS à Bruxelles. À la suite de cela, elle a fait un second Master en Marketing Digital à Gand. Aux cours de ses études, elle a eu l’opportunité d’effectuer des stages chez Greenpeace Belgique et chez GrowForce, une agence de growth marketing à Anvers. C’est la combinaison idéale entre objectifs, valeurs et une variété de projets engagés qui a suscité l’intérêt d’Alicia pour rejoindre le navire d’Arctik.

Alicia est bilingue français-néerlandais, maîtrise l’anglais ainsi que l’espagnol et a des bonnes bases en allemand.

Ann-Sofie Forsman joined ARCTIK as a sustainability communications intern at the end of August 2023. She holds a bachelor´s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Maastricht University College Venlo. In her thesis, she researched valorised surplus food products at Dutch university canteens and the European Green Public Procurement framework.

Ann-Sofie has also obtained a master’s degree in Environment and Resource Management from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. For her master’s thesis, she conducted exploratory research on environmental engagement at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

She is fluent in English, Hungarian (mother tongue), conversational Finnish, and has a basic understanding of French.

Hugo joined Arctik in September 2023 as a Graphic Designer.

He is a young graphic designer specialising in visual communication, with three years of experience in the creative industry. He began his career at Mediakeys, a communication and advertising agency, where he worked on prestigious accounts such as the Château de Versailles, Mitsubishi, La Banque Postale or Paris Musées. His expertise spans various areas of design, from branding (logos, consistent brand guidelines), print design (books, catalogs, brochures, posters) digital (newsletters, emails, banners, website),video production (editing, motion design, logo animation, and presentation video graphics).

Hugo holds a Master’s degree in Strategic communication through design from Ecole de condé in Paris.

He speaks French, Spanish and English.

Gilles est titulaire d’une Maîtrise en arts plastiques, visuels et spatiaux de l’ENSAV La Cambre à Bruxelles (Belgique). Au cours des dix dernières années, il a exprimé sa créativité graphique et conceptuelle à travers diverses collaborations, notamment en entreprise, en agence et en tant que freelance. Il a ainsi pu travailler sur un large éventail de supports imprimés et numériques.

Il a rejoint l’équipe d’Arctik en avril 2021.

Valentine joined Arctik in March 2025 as a graphic designer. She is a passionate Graphic, Motion, and UI Designer with eight years of experience in digital communication and visual storytelling.

Her career began at ICF Next, where she created 2D animations and UI/UX designs for European Commission DGs. She developed engaging content for events, campaigns, and internal platforms, ensuring strong digital communication.

She then joined Propaganda Group, working for Carrefour Belgium. There, I managed backup design for digital campaigns, promotions, and internal projects, contributing to a cohesive brand identity.

Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, she brings ideas to life through branding, motion design, and UI/UX. From designing logos and banners to producing videos and animations, she creates impactful visuals that enhance engagement and communication.

She is fluent in French and English, and has a basic level in Dutch.

Cédric a plus de 15 ans d’expérience dans l’univers du web et de la conception graphique. Constamment en équilibre entre les mondes du print et du web, son expertise se situe à cheval entre le rôle de graphiste et celui de développeur web. Une expertise passerelle très appréciée par l’équipe d’Arctik et par nos clients !

Quentin est le directeur création d’Arctik.

Il a la charge de toute la production visuelle, y compris le design print et web, la production vidéo, les médias numériques, les applications… Il a également travaillé comme designer numérique pour l’Institut royal des Sciences naturelles de Belgique. Il a obtenu une Licence en infographie à la Haute École Albert Jacquard de Namur (Belgique). Quentin parle français et a une bonne maîtrise de l’anglais.
