After years of raising awareness of the Ecodynamic Organisation Label and supporting organisations in engaging with the initiative and sharing their progress, Arctik is proud to celebrate a milestone of its own: we have been awarded the three-star label.
Led by Brussels Environment, the Label Entreprise Ecodynamique / Ecodynamische Onderneming recognises organisations in the Brussels-Capital Region that take concrete action to reduce the environmental impact of their activities. This label highlights efforts to integrate environmental management into daily operations, reduce the environmental footprint of office activities, and support more sustainable and responsible ways of working.
Arctik’s three-star recognition reflects the strength and consistency of our eco-management practices across key areas including waste prevention and management, rational use of energy and water, sustainable mobility, responsible purchasing, internal organisation, and staff involvement:
- Event planning is always supported by a green events checklist to reduce environmental impact.
- Office furniture is sourced second-hand, while cleaning products and printer paper are EU Ecolabel.
- IT equipment is reused and repaired where possible, and new devices were selected based on recognised sustainability certifications.
- External servers are selected from providers that have ratified the European Code of Conduct.
- Staff engagement is supported through sustainability-focused communication, employee awareness games, and the work of the Green Team.
- Individual waste bins were removed from offices and replaced with shared waste-sorting stations, supported by clear sorting guidelines and reminder stickers.
- Sustainable commuting is encouraged through full reimbursement of public transport in Brussels and a bike allowance.
The result confirms that sustainability is not only part of the advice we give to others, but also part of how we work ourselves.
We received the certification in April 2026 and are pleased to have celebrated it at the in-person event held in Atelier 210, Brussels, on 16 June 2026, alongside partners and other organisations committed to environmental progress in Brussels.
